One Way to be a More Effective Leader
Pair empowerment with accountability.
This can apply in organizations, at home with your family, or in teams of any kind. (hint: do this for others, but also for yourself!)
What does it mean to empower someone, why is it important, and how do we do it?
In a nutshell, empowerment fosters a mindset of meaningful, purposeful, intentional contribution. When the people you lead feel empowered, they have room to be problem solvers, get creative, and find solutions that work for them, your team, and your clients.
But it’s important to match empowerment with accountability. Now that you’ve nurtured an environment that allows them to create, design, and innovate, how will you help your employees, kids, or teams bring their ideas and commitments to life, and take them across the finish line? The empowered energy is fantastic, but without the accountability to go along with it, empowerment alone doesn’t always produce measurable results.
How can you boost empowerment and accountability for yourself? Connect with others regularly, lift each other up, and hold each other to your commitments.
I run small group coaching programs for female professionals in leadership roles, and this is one of many topics we dive into. It’s comprised of wickedly smart, compassionate, creative women who continue to strive for excellence in all aspects of their lives, and we cover a variety of topics, like:
Confidence/Executive Presence
Getting Buy-in from your team
Setting Boundaries
Trusting Yourself
Work/Life Balance
Developing your Inner Resources
Courageous Leadership
Healthy Habits
Giving & Receiving Feedback
Agility/Navigating Change
Creating Alignment
Strategic Thinking
Setting the Tone
Not only do these women receive coaching from me, but they also learn from each other, create together, and hold each other accountable along the way. These groups provide wisdom, perspective, objectivity and support from others who are outside of your organization and your everyday bubble.
We match empowerment with accountability in every session. These amazing ladies are armed with the tools, support, and accountability of strong, like minded women, and the guidance, clarity & confidence that a group like this brings.
This group is for someone who’s ready to take their leadership skills to the next level, and who sees the value in connecting with other powerful women along the way. If that might be you (or someone you know), send me a message with any questions, or set up a quick call to learn more.
I’d love to chat and see if this would be a good fit.
